Jason M. Rodriguez represents clients in connection with strategic commercial transactions, with a focus on the licensing, acquisition, protection, development, use and commercialization of technology and biotechnology. Jason advises domestic and international clients in outsourcing transactions, corporate collaborations, joint development projects, joint ventures and strategic alliances.
He provides guidance across a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, spinoffs and divestitures, transition services transactions, debt and equity financings, support and supply arrangements, licensing transactions, and distributor and sales channel arrangements. Jason works across a broad range of industries including life sciences, software, e-commerce, technology, Internet services, finance, broadcasting, telecommunications, and manufacturing, and his work frequently involves cross-border activities and arrangements.
Jason regularly assists clients in a wide spectrum of technology and data acquisition, implementation, and service agreements, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, licensing, software as a service (SaaS), information as a service (IaaS), data acquisition and services, cloud computing, and mobility agreements. Additionally, Jason assists clients in marketing their products and services online and through joint marketing agreements, sales representative agreements, and distribution agreements.
Jason was the co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s International Law Section for two years and is currently an active member in the BBA. He provides pro bono services to nonprofit organizations through the Lawyers Clearinghouse on Affordable Housing and Homelessness Inc. and the Boston Bar Association Business Law Pro Bono Project.
