2010年にオハイオ州立大学マイケル E.モーリツ カレッジ オブ ローでJ. D.及び国際貿易開発における法的問題研究修了証を取得し、同大学ではI/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society誌のシニアエディターを務めました。また、ロースクール在学中は、オハイオ南部地区合衆国連邦地方裁判所のエドマンド A. サーガス ジュニア判事の下、司法研修生として学びました。2006年にオハイオ州立大学で歴史学及び日本語学専攻で学士を取得し、2010年には同大学にて、日本法を専門とした東アジア学専攻にて修士号を取得しました。


Ryan L. Waggoner is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Waggoner's practice focuses on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other corporate matters for both U.S. and Japanese clients.

Mr. Waggoner, who is proficient in Japanese, was previously resident in the firm's Tokyo office from October 2010 through May 2014.

Mr. Waggoner earned his J.D., with a certificate in legal issues in international trade and development, from Ohio State University, Michael E. Moritz College of Law in 2010, where he was a senior editor for I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern for Judge Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Mr. Waggoner earned his M.A. in East Asian studies, with a specialization in Japanese legal studies, from Ohio State University in 2010 and his B.A. in history and Japanese from Ohio State University in 2006.

Mr. Waggoner is admitted to practice in New York.
