Scott B. Garner is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice and leader of the Irvine Litigation Group. Mr. Garner's practice focuses on complex business litigation, with an emphasis on professional liability. He has experience in the areas of securities litigation, patent law, corporate governance, hospital and healthcare law, and toxic tort.
Mr. Garner's recent experience includes representing a number of large and mid-size law firms, as well as individual attorneys in cases around the country involving claims of legal malpractice, securities fraud, and ethical violations arising from both their litigation and transaction practices. Mr. Garner has experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice, as well as in arbitration and mediation.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Garner was a partner in the Global Litigation Practice in the Irvine office of an international law firm, where he also focused on complex business litigation.
Mr. Garner earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1991 and his B.A., with distinction, from Stanford University in 1988.
Mr. Garner is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
