Salvador J. Juncadella is an international consultant in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. He is particularly knowledgeable about the laws, customs, and lawyers of more than 25 countries spanning from Mexico to Argentina and including the Caribbean nations.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Juncadella served for more than 25 years in various countries as corporate counsel for Exxon Corporation's affiliates in Latin America. He also served as general counsel of Esso Inter-America, Inc., a regional office located in Coral Gables, Florida, of Exxon Corporation petroleum interests in the Caribbean and Central and South America.

On April 3, 1998, the Inter-American Law Review of the University of Miami School of Law presented Mr. Juncadella with the prestigious 1998 Lawyer of the Americas Award. This award is given annually to a prominent and respected member of the legal community who has made significant contributions in the field of international and inter-American law.

On April 15, 1998, at a meeting of the board of directors of the Lima, Peru Bar Association, Mr. Juncadella was named an honorary member of the Association due to his professional, intellectual and academic achievements honoring said institution and for having attained the highest distinction for a lawyer in this hemisphere, the presidency of the Inter-American Bar Association.

In 1990, Mr. Juncadella was appointed to the board of directors of the Miami-based Argentine-Florida Chamber of Commerce, and in 1991 he was appointed first vice president and a member of its executive committee. In 1996, Mr. Juncadella also was appointed to the board of directors of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Center of the Americas, located in Miami, and elected its vice-chair and member of its executive committee.

Mr. Juncadella earned his LL.D. degree from the University of Havana (Cuba) in 1952. In 1953, he received the Ricardo Dolz Arango National Law Award, which enabled him to work as a public defender before Havana's highest criminal court from 1953 to 1955. In 1956, Mr. Juncadella joined the law firm Bufete de Mendoza, the oldest and one of the largest law firms in pre-Castro Cuba, as an associate and served as a partner from 1957 to 1962.
