Victor Limongelli

Former Morgan Lewis lawyer Victor Limongelli was named Chairman of the Board of AccessData, a global company that provides technology solutions for digital forensics, e-Discovery, and litigation for corporations, law enforcement, and law firms. Prior to his role at AccessData, Victor was President and CEO of Guidance Software Inc., where he led the company’s worldwide operations. At Morgan Lewis, Victor focused his practice on technology issues for client companies, with a particular emphasis on licensing and venture capital.

Horacio Gutierrez

Former Morgan Lewis lawyer and international consultant Horacio Gutierrez has been promoted to general counsel of Microsoft, responsible for Microsoft’s global legal affairs and the oversight of a team of legal, regulatory, and corporate professionals around the world. Prior to his role as general counsel, Horacio headed up the Microsoft products team, supporting the lifecycle of Microsoft products from research and development to cybercrime prevention. Horacio’s practice has focused on handling international issues involving Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and he has experience with patent licensing and intellectual property.

Candace Martin

Former corporate and business transactions associate Candace Martin joined crowdfunding website Kickstarter in January. Candace will serve as the Brooklyn-based company’s first-ever Commercial Counsel and work alongside Michal Rosenn, Kickstarter’s General Counsel. Candace will focus on commercial work (including contracts with vendors and payment providers), as well as agreements with Kickstarter’s community partners such as Sundance Institute, MoMA, and the Smithsonian.

David Leitch

Former Morgan Lewis lawyer David Leitch has joined Bank of America as general counsel, where he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s legal functions and its relationships with regulatory and law enforcement authorities around the world. He joins BofA from Ford Motor Company, where he served as general counsel and group vice president. Leitch is a member of the board of directors of the National Chamber Litigation Center and a trustee of the Supreme Court Historical Society. He also serves on general counsel advisory committees for the National Center for State Courts and the Civil Justice Reform Group.

Sandra Franco

The National Biodiesel Board announced on January 6 that it has hired Washington, DC, attorney Sandra Franco as general counsel. Franco previously was a partner in our environmental group, where she specialized in the Clean Air Act and natural resources law. Franco has long worked with the renewable fuels industry and is one of the nation’s foremost legal experts with respect to the renewable fuel standard (RFS).
