2012 Derivatives Roundtable: Exploring the Use of Derivatives by Mutual Funds, Closed-End Funds, and ETFs

ICI is bringing together regulators and industry representatives for a unique half-day roundtable to explore the practical, risk management, and legal issues facing mutual funds, closed-end funds, and ETFs that use derivatives to help achieve their investment objectives.

The 2012 Derivatives Roundtable is SOLD OUT, and we are no longer accepting registrations.

At this half-day event, roundtable participants will discuss and debate:

  • Funds' past, present, and future use of derivatives
  • How best to protect investors while gaining the benefits that derivative strategies can provide
  • How best to protect funds from counterparty risks
  • How to deal with compliance challenges that derivatives may pose, including valuation and diversification testing

Attendees will have opportunities to participate in the unique interactive roundtable format, while earning continuing education credits.

This program has been approved by the State Bar of California for CLE credit. Application for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) approval will be submitted by ICI to Illinois. This program should qualify for approximately 3.0 hours of CLE credit.
