Christopher M. Ahearn is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice and handles ERISA litigation. Attorneys in this practice regularly advise clients on virtually every type of labor and employment issue, from international counseling to management relations and labor disputes. Attorneys include the former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association, fellows in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and partners recognized for professional excellence in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Ahearn's practice focuses on ERISA and employee benefits litigation, including class action litigation of ERISA's fiduciary provisions.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Ahearn practiced in the litigation department of a San Francisco law firm, where he focused on general business litigation, including employee benefits matters and fiduciary counseling for pension plan clients.

Mr. Ahearn earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 2005. While in law school, he was an associate articles editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. He also performed volunteer services at an employment law clinic in San Francisco and clerked at a labor-focused law firm. Mr. Ahearn was a Fulbright Fellow at the Friedrich Schiller Universitaet in Jena, Germany, where he studied philosophy and literature from 1997-1998. He earned his A.B., magna cum laude, in philosophy and German from Boston College in 1997.

Mr. Ahearn is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
