Rahul Kapoor is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice, hiring partner for the Palo Alto office, and a member of the firm's Legal Personnel and Finance Committees. Mr. Kapoor has deep transactional experience in strategic alliances, joint ventures, corporate partnering transactions, standards body licensing structures, intellectual property strategic counseling, technology licensing, technology transfers, patent portfolio development, electronic commerce and privacy, supply and distribution agreements, consignment agreements, spin-outs and core technology licenses, IT outsourcing transactions, as well as intellectual property due diligence issues in connection with mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and corporate financings.

Mr. Kapoor has a degree in electrical engineering and, prior to practicing law, spent six years as an engineer and project manager in the systems integration arena. He began his engineering career at a venture-backed startup company that was acquired by a Fortune 100 company.

Mr. Kapoor's prior work experience gives him a deep technology background and a comprehensive understanding of the business and technology markets. He combines this with his substantive legal knowledge of all areas of intellectual property law to provide his clients with a wide range of practical legal and business advice.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Kapoor teaches an Intellectual Property Strategy class at Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley and has also presented at Stanford Law School.

Mr. Kapoor is admitted to practice in California and New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
