Michael F. Carr is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices. Mr. Carr has experience in a wide range of intellectual property issues, including patent litigation, licensing disputes, copyright, trade dress, and trade secret misappropriation, in addition to antitrust and complex commercial litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of industries including video-on-demand technology, video game hardware, satellite communications, semiconductor manufacturing, and opto-electronic transceivers. Mr. Carr has counseled clients on pre-litigation strategy and intellectual property licensing issues, and has drafted and negotiated intellectual property licenses and other agreements.

Mr. Carr is currently involved in a number of patent infringement litigations seeking to enforce patent rights relating to opto-electronic transceivers and video-on-demand technology. He recently participated in a successful jury trial concerning video-on demand-technology that resulted in a jury verdict of $115 million.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Carr served as a law clerk to Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Mr. Carr received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2005, where he was a student attorney in the Consumer Law Litigation Clinic and was an editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Carr worked as a product manager at an Internet search engine. He received his B.A. from Santa Clara University in 1996.

Mr. Carr is admitted to practice in California and Wisconsin.
