Laura E. Flores is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Investment Management and Securities Industry Practice. Ms. Flores’s practice focuses on investment company and investment adviser regulatory and compliance-related issues.

Ms. Flores regularly assists clients with the formation and registration of investment advisers and investment companies, including exchange-traded investment companies. She also provides ongoing advice with regard to a wide variety of regulatory compliance and securities law issues. Ms. Flores has extensively counseled clients in connection with reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and other business combinations of investment companies, as well as pooled investment funds. She has also assisted clients in obtaining exemptive and no-action relief from various provisions of the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Prior to rejoining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Flores served as assistant general counsel in the Global Wealth and Investment Management Division of Bank of America, where she supported Columbia Management Advisors, LLC and the Columbia Funds, as well as the Alternative Investment Group. Ms. Flores also previously served as an investment management associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Morgan Lewis.

Ms. Flores received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2004 and her B.A. from Smith College in 1999.

Ms. Flores is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Florida.
