Ezra D. Church is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Church focuses his practice on a broad range of litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on complex commercial and class actions. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in nationwide litigation and major matters throughout the United States. Mr. Church has handled all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial and post-trial appeal.
Mr. Church has represented clients in a variety of areas, including the retail, publishing, high-technology, software, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries. Recently, he defended a leading manufacturer of personal computer systems in a nationwide class action matter involving the manufacture and marketing of personal computers. Mr. Church has served as trial counsel in multiple matters, including the recent representation of a national retailer accused of violating California's consumer protection laws.
An active member of the firm's Class Action Working Group, Mr. Church has a specific background in the area of class action certification.
Mr. Church earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005. While in law school, Mr. Church served on the editorial board of the Texas Law Review as an articles editor and received the Best Articles Editor Award and Outstanding Published Note Award. He also received the first-year class Best Brief Award. He earned his B.A. in history, with a minor in philosophy, from Northwestern University in 2002.
