John S. Ferrer is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Ferrer’s practice encompasses a broad range of labor and employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on labor law matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act. His practice includes litigation, counseling, and providing labor and employment advice in corporate transactions.

Mr. Ferrer has represented clients in federal court, in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, and in labor arbitrations. He regularly counsels employers in a variety of labor matters, including challenges to independent contractor status under the National Labor Relations Act, plant closings, relocations, outsourcing, and employee disciplinary issues. He has also assisted clients with collective bargaining negotiations, union organizing campaigns, corporate campaigns, and strike preparations.

Mr. Ferrer has advised clients in a variety of industries about the labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, spinoffs, and other types of business restructuring.

In addition to his labor law practice, Mr. Ferrer has represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and he has also handled single-plaintiff employment discrimination cases in federal and state courts.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Ferrer worked as a trial attorney at the National Labor Relations Board regional offices in Detroit, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. from 1996 to 2003, where he served as lead counsel in numerous unfair labor practice trials and compliance proceedings.

Mr. Ferrer is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
