New York, N.Y., July 7, 2006 — Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is pleased to announce that Georgia Bullitt has joined the firm as a partner in the Securities Practice and the Investment Management Practice. Ms. Bullitt will focus on securities, derivatives, equity sales and trading, and private wealth management. Her experience includes equity brokerage, equity derivatives corporate finance, SEC reporting, and private banking.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Bullitt was Executive Director and Global General Counsel for Morgan Stanley’s private high net worth business and Senior Counsel for Morgan Stanley’s retail capital markets and alternative investment groups. From 1998-2003, Georgia was the senior equity derivatives counsel for Morgan Stanley, with responsibility for advising on equity sales, stock lending and trading matters. While with Morgan Stanley, Georgia also developed training and policies and procedures addressing a number of different areas of the federal securities laws.
“Georgia brings a wealth of know-how to our clients in the financial services industry in the United States and abroad,” said Steven W. Stone, leader of the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group. “Her arrival further strengthens our securities industry client service capabilities and complements the expertise of other Morgan Lewis attorneys on our team who have worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), investment management firms, banks, broker-dealers, and insurance companies,” he continued.
Ms. Bullitt received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1987, where she was a member of the University of Michigan International Law Journal. She received her B.A. in East Asian studies from Yale University in 1982.
Ms. Bullitt is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Securities Industry Association’s Investment Advisory Committee.
