PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 25, 2005 - Richard Negrin, associate in the Litigation Practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, has been selected to serve on the Hispanic National Bar Association's (HNBA) United States Supreme Court Commission. The responsibility of the Commission will be to develop a list of possible Hispanic candidates for the United States Supreme Court and make recommendations to the White House.
The HNBA is the premiere Hispanic legal professional association in the country representing the interests of over 25,000 Hispanic American attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students in the United States and Puerto Rico. The HNBA is often consulted to give their stamp of approval on significant judicial candidates. Previously, Negrin assisted in the development of the candidate evaluation criteria the HNBA will use as it develops a short list of recommendations for the White House.
Negrin's practice focuses on the representation of corporations in various facets of civil, criminal and administrative proceedings, including internal investigations, agency investigations, grand jury proceedings, False Claims Act actions and other civil enforcement actions. He has also worked extensively in complex litigation, including commercial arbitration, toxic tort and product liability cases.
