A seasoned immigration attorney, Ms. Pelta has extensive experience in all aspects of business immigration law, including international transfer of business, scientific and artistic personnel, temporary and permanent visas, and all immigration-related employer obligations. She also assists multinational corporations in developing strategies for, and managing, high-volume global immigration programs. She has worked with companies to develop immigration-related policies and procedures, and has counseled companies on the immigration impact of corporate change, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, reductions-in-force and across-the-board salary adjustments. Ms. Pelta received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and graduated cum laude from Princeton University. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania bars, and is an elected Director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Ms. Ellis joins Morgan Lewis once again after serving as an immigration associate at the firm from 1998 to 2001. She provides immigration advice to a wide range of clients, including large multinational corporations, start-ups and non-profit organizations. She specializes in both temporary visas and employment-based permanent visas and has particular expertise in handling complex government requests for information in immigration-related matters. Ms. Ellis received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her BA in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of both the Massachusetts and District of Columbia Bars.
Mr. Bord has practiced immigration and nationality law for nine out of the past thirteen years. His practice focuses on temporary and permanent visas, naturalization, and issues arising in world-wide consular visa processing. He also has experience in immigration litigation. Before attending law school, Mr. Bord was associate director of Latin American and Caribbean programs at the Carter Presidential Center. He was actively involved in the efforts of former President Jimmy Carter to foster democracy and free elections throughout the Hemisphere. Mr. Bord earned his J.D. with distinction from Emory University School of Law, where he was the winner of the Jerome Prince National Moot Court Competition, and received his BA in Economics and International Studies also from Emory University. He is a member of the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland bars.
