Of Counsel to Testify Before Senate Regarding ERISA Regulation

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Andy Anderson, of counsel in Morgan Lewis’s employee benefits and executive compensation practice, will testify today before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. He will provide testimony on the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The hearing, held to discuss the Supreme Court’s treatment of laws surrounding health care, will include discussion of ERISA. It is the Chamber’s position that ERISA is critical to maintaining voluntary, employer-provided health benefits and the Act should not be changed or influenced by additional regulation.
Mr. Anderson will be available for comment today after the hearing regarding ERISA and potential changes to employer health benefits. The hearing will take place at:
