Morgan Lewis' Employee Benefits Practice Group in conjunction with the Labor and Employment Practice Group will be sponsoring two seminars on the West Coast in the fall of 2003. The first, to be held in San Francisco on September 24th, will focus on topics of interest to tech companies as well as more traditional employers, and will have sessions on current benefits litigation topics, executive compensation, qualified plan issues and health and welfare plan issues (including HIPAA issues). The second, to be held in Palo Alto on September 25th, will emphasize issues of interest to tech and emerging growth companies and will touch on some or all of the above topics, but with a concentration on equity and executive compensation issues (including new FASB rules with respect to stock options) as well as trends and legal issues relating to severance programs.
