12/10/07 Morgan Lewis Expands Labor & Employment Practice into Texas
Responding to business growth and rapidly expanding employer needs in Texas and the south and central United States, Morgan Lewis today announced the addition of six seasoned labor and employment partners to its Dallas office.

The teleseminar will focus on the implications of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for life sciences companies. The speakers will discuss how the corporate governance, periodic reporting and internal controls provisions of the Act have affected and will continue to affect the way that life sciences companies do business. Specific topics will include how life sciences companies should: structure boards of directors and audit committees, ensure that their senior officers can effectively certify financial statements and periodic public reports, and develop effective internal controls. Related issues will include codes of ethics, accounting issues that may have particular impact on life sciences companies, and suggestions for dealing with the multi-layered regulatory scheme under which life sciences companies must operate.
