Implications of the New Agency Workers Regulations

The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 come into effect on 1 October 2011. Under the new regulations, agency workers must have increased rights from the outset of their recruitment and after 12 weeks in the role. Greater communication will also be required between hirer, agency, and worker.

  • Individuals who work as temporary agency workers
  • Individuals or companies (private, public, and third sector (e.g., charities, social enterprises)) involved in
    the supply of temporary agency workers, either directly or indirectly, to work temporarily for and under the direction and supervision of a hirer
