Immigration = Entrepreneurship: The U.S. Government’s Changing Role From Gatekeeper to Partner

Morgan Lewis partner Lisa S. Burton joins Alejandro Mayorkas, Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as well as scholars and students for a panel discussion on the relationship between entrepreneurship, immigration, and economic development.

Sponsored by and held at MIT's Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, the panel will explore how the U.S. government and the business community can facilitate entrepreneurial immigrants' ability to lawfully remain in the United States to spur business, innovation, and job growth.

The event begins with a keynote by Mayorkas, who will discuss U.S. policies and practices for making this country a welcoming place for innovation-driven entrepreneurs.
