Complacency is an unacceptable state in the modern workplace—change comes fast and furiously. Strategic planning and forward thinking can be overwhelmed by unexpected events. Trend lines are getting shorter and applicant behavior more puzzling. Visions of the future have to be regularly recreated to account for technology, demographics, and other forces. Despite this reality, this meeting attempts to peek into the new future of law admissions and to give participants useful information and tools to become more nimble in adjusting to the forces that are shaping legal education.

Sessions will focus on the future of rankings, ethics, Web design, communications, the LSAT, and legal career opportunities. Professional development sessions will explore career paths for admission professionals and preparing for retirement. Managing time and diversifying the student body will be examined, along with a session on stress management to prepare participants to face the challenges ahead.

Morgan Lewis Partner Joan Haratani will participate in the "Diversity Pipeline" session on Friday, June 1 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
