Morgan Lewis' partner Reece Hirsch will present "Reconsidering Business Associates" at the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys Annual Seminar
Just when you thought you had HIPAA business associate contracting issues figured out, along came the HITECH Act. Reece Hirsch will review the provisions required by the HITECH regulations and address the critical contracting and implementation issues, including security breach notification and mitigation, data security, indemnification and amendment strategies. The session will also highlight new principles under the HITECH Act concerning the liability of covered entities for the actions of business associates.
