This course will discuss authority and relevant law. This program is designed to assist in understanding the structure of different court systems as it relates to the concepts of mandatory and persuasive authority; (b) assess which authorities will be most persuasive in a particular situation; (c) decide which (and how) authorities should be cited or discussed; (d) become more proficient in using authority to create an overall picture of the relevant law.
