Labor and Employment partner Barbara Miller will be speaking at the Society for Human Resource Management 2014 Employment Law and Legislative Conference. The conference will be taking place from March 16-19 at the Washington Renaissance in Washington, DC. Barbara will be focusing on new California wage and hour related laws that took effect in 2013 and 2014.
New requirements coupled with existing regulations have made California a challenge for employers with employees who provide service in California. Barbara’s session will guide non-California-based employers with employees who work in California with up-to-date information regarding the newest wage and hour compliance risks and will offer strategies to assess and mitigate these risks.
