The Morgan Lewis Mock Tribunal

Tuesday, February 3, 2015
01:00 AM Eastern Standard Time

Please join lawyers from our Labour and Employment Practice and Littleton Chambers for the second part of our Employment Tribunal Seminar Series: The Morgan Lewis Mock Tribunal.

Following the first part of this series, participants will watch a disability discrimination and unfair dismissal claim unfold in the Morgan Lewis Employment Tribunal and see how an employment tribunal hearing is run. Participants will see witnesses give evidence and be cross-examined by experienced barristers, with a QC presiding as the Employment Judge for the afternoon. Following witness evidence and the barristers’ closing arguments, the judge will deliver his judgment, and participants will see whether the respondent has successfully defended the claimant’s claims.

We also invite attendees to join us for a drinks reception after the seminar.

Please note that to allow sufficient time for the tribunal hearing, we will allow two hours for this training session and will start proceedings at 16:00. Space will be limited, so we encourage you to register for this session early. Those who register will receive materials in advance of the hearing so they may familiarise themselves with the claims and defence.
