Please join us for the summer session of our quarterly Morgan Lewis Hedge Fund University^TM webinar series, where we will discuss important issues surrounding the marketing of alternative investment funds in the European Union (EU) under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).

Our panelists will examine these issues in light of the private placement overlay, which takes effect on July 22, 2013 and will require U.S. managers marketing funds to EU investors to comply with the transparency and reporting provisions of AIFMD, subject to the transitional period.

Our panelists will also explore each constituent element of the private placement overlay and the preparatory steps U.S. managers should be taking in order to be in compliance.
