Pro Bono in 2010

Nearly 60,000 hours were spent on pro bono representations, at a value to our pro bono clients of tens of millions of dollars.

More than two-thirds of the firm's attorneys contributed at least 20 hours to a pro bono matter; representations span all practice groups and offices.

Representations included more than 1,600 active matters, including nearly 400 new matters.

Full "above the line" credit given for pro bono time charges.

Morgan Lewis is a signatory to the Pro Bono Institute's Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge.

The firm hosts an Attorney of Color Meeting, bringing together firm leaders, partners, associates, and senior management to discuss diversity as it relates to daily life at the firm and to our clients' needs.

"Success at Morgan Lewis: One Firm, Many Paths" was the title of the firm's third Attorneys of Color Meeting held on June 3 and 4, 2011. Bringing together over 100 attorneys of color and firm leadership, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to advance the firm's diversity goals by:

  • Providing an opportunity to network across offices and practices;
  • Facilitating the continuing dialogue between attorneys of color and firm leadership;
  • Discussing the firm's diversity goals; and
  • Providing an opportunity to share experiences and best practices.
