Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference

The Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference is the premier East Coast event for entrepreneurs and financiers. For two days the region's most promising new companies have the chance to tell their stories to hundreds of potential investors in hopes of making the connection that makes the difference.

Over the last ten years, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference has earned its reputation as the largest and most prestigious venture conference on the East Coast. The Mid-Atlantic is home to some of the most distinguished venture firms in the

country. Venture investors are attracted to the region because it is a hub of activity in the telecommunications, information technology and healthcare sectors.

In 2002, featured companies will have a larger audience than ever. Attendance is expected to exceed 2001's audience of close to 1100, including representatives from over 100 private equity groups from around the country. There is no other place where a company looking for funding can reach so many high level investors at once. Other attendees include professionals from the country's top investment and commercial banks, legal and accounting firms. The Venture Conference is a great networking opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors alike.

New for 2002, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference will include a separate track to highlight life sciences companies

in the region. PABIOTECH and BCNJ have joined together

with the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group to support the life sciences track of the 2002 Mid-Atlantic Venture

Conference, and encourage life sciences companies to consider the unique opportunity presented by the event. The Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference is a proud sponsor of

Biotech 2002.

During the 2002 Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference, Community Ventures will highlight 4 charitable organizations. These

groups will present programs that could benefit from the

investment of time and talent (i.e. volunteer opportunities) by GPVG members and others in the private equity community.

The application deadline for the Community Ventures program is 23 August.

Featured Companies represent industries include telecommunications, computer hardware and software, information technology, healthcare and life science.
