International Transactional Lawyer Joins Morgan Lewis in Houston, Broadens Firm’s Reach into Latin America

Carlos has worked on matters in almost every country in Latin America, where he has earned a stellar reputation. He joins a Business and Finance Practice that already spans the United States, Europe, and Asia, with more than 300 lawyers who focus on a wide variety of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, finance, and capital markets.

Carlos’s practice includes international business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, infrastructure development projects, privatizations, and maquiladora and PITEX cross-border manufacturing programs. Among the myriad of multinational companies for whom Carlos has worked over the years are U.S. and foreign companies in the power, oil and gas, biofuels, mining, water, real estate, transportation, logistics, freight services, and telecommunications sectors.

He joins Morgan Lewis from the Houston office of King & Spalding LLP, where he was a member of that firm's Global Transactions Practice Group and co-head of its Latin American practice. Carlos is fluent in Spanish.
