On January 31, 2008, Robert Goldspink participated in a risk management roundtable. When asked whether UK compliance burdens are undermining the competitiveness of city firms in the global marketplace, Robert replied, "I don't feel that the increasing level of compliance required of firms in the UK has made a tremendous amount of difference when it comes to attracting work. It's important to have a culture where you share information. Sharing problems means avoiding risks."
