Macaluso and Rutherford Bring Their Extensive Structured Finance Practice to Morgan Lewis

Chicago, Ill., October 9, 2006 – Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is pleased to announce that Michael J. Macaluso and Douglas M. Rutherford have brought their structured finance practice to the firm. They have joined the firm as partners in the Business and Finance practice, and will operate out of the Chicago and New York offices, while maintaining an active presence in the Minneapolis financial services community.

Mr. Macaluso has broad experience managing complex financial and corporate finance transactions. His practice includes structured financings of all kinds including domestic and cross-border asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, conduits, synthetic securities and various hedging instruments. He has served his clients in a number of capacities over the years, including as treasury counsel and as outside general counsel, and has significant cross-border experience, particularly with respect to Europe and Latin America.

Mr. Rutherford has practiced in London and in Tokyo, and he focuses on structured finance, derivatives, acquisition finance and other areas of practice relating to the treasury function. He has over twenty years of experience, representing commercial and investment banks, borrowers, mutual funds, hedge funds, pension trust advisors, finance and leasing companies, insurance companies and issuers.
