Paul A. Zevnik is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice, resident in the Washington, D.C. and the Los Angeles offices. Mr. Zevnik's principal area of practice is insurance coverage advice and litigation, with an emphasis on environmental, asbestos, toxic tort, and product liability coverage disputes. Mr. Zevnik also has experience in transactions in the insurance, broadcasting, and media businesses, including tax-driven transactions involving IRC §468B trusts and insurance captives, as well as corporate-owned life insurance (COLI).

Mr. Zevnik has successfully conceived of and managed complex comprehensive insurance recovery projects for Fortune 500 companies in the energy, manufacturing, food, and technology industries, among others, for diverse companies including PepsiAmericas, Inc., Conoco Inc., ITT Corporation, Sunoco, Inc., Sara Lee Corporation, Kraft Foods North America, Inc., and Celanese Corporation. Significant reported cases include Domtar v. Niagara Fire Insurance Company, 563 N.W.2d 724 (Minn. 1997), UNR Indus., Inc. v. Continental Cas. Co., 942 F.2d 1101 (7th Cir. 1991), cert. denied, and Continental Cas. Co. v. UNR Indus., Inc., 112 S.Ct. 1586 (1992).

He is one of the founders and a current principal shareholder and Lead Director of Entravision Communications Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange Company (NYSE:EVC). Entravision is the nation's largest publicly traded multimedia company focusing on the Hispanic consumer in the United States and Northern Mexico, and the country's largest affiliate group of the Univision Network and the TeleFutura Network.

Mr. Zevnik has also been involved in the ownership and operation of television and radio stations in various markets in the United States and a national programming service serving the 12- to 34-year-old urban demographic.

From 1993 to 2003, Mr. Zevnik founded his own firm, most recently known as Zevnik Horton LLP. Prior to 1993, he litigated or advised on a variety of commercial disputes, including private and public breach of contract cases, breach of warranty actions involving the sale of complex machinery, and suits against the United States under the Tucker Act.

Mr. Zevnik is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, California, and Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
