Joy E. Palazzo Associate

Joy E. Palazzo is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Palazzo focuses her practice on commercial, energy, and environmental litigation. She has handled matters dealing with oil and gas and other energy-related litigation, toxic tort and product liability defense, property pollution and vapor intrusion litigation, and personal injury defense in complex mass tort litigation. Ms. Palazzo has represented major oil and chemical companies in complex litigation in both state and federal court proceedings and has experience in appellate briefing to the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. 

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Palazzo served as an environmental associate at a Texas law firm. She also worked on the staff of U.S. Senator Don Nickles, where she investigated campaign finance reform, mediated conflicts between constituents and executive agencies, and managed supervision of various federal agencies.

Ms. Palazzo earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2003, where she was named to the Order of the Curule Chair, received the Most Outstanding Law Student Award and the Scott A. Sanditen Service Award, and was a University Merit Scholar and a Martin Fellows Smith Scholar. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Oral Roberts University in 1998, where she received the Outstanding Student of the Year Award and the Most Outstanding Thesis Award and was the commencement speaker.

Ms. Palazzo is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
