Frances Marine Bravo is Morgan Lewis's director of public and media relations. She works closely with firm management, practice group leaders, and the firm’s business development, marketing, and communications team to plan and execute public and media relations strategies. Ms. Bravo oversees all efforts aimed at promoting the firm’s business activities, practice areas, attorneys, pro bono and diversity efforts, and community relationships in the news media.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Bravo worked in governmental public relations at the state and federal levels. She has developed and implemented strategic communications plans on a number of difficult policy issues, ranging from capital punishment to accountability in education, foreign assistance and global HIV/AIDS to disaster response and recovery. From 2006-2007, she served as senior policy advisor for public affairs and public diplomacy to the U.S. State Department’s third-ranking official. Prior to assuming that role, Ms. Bravo led the Florida public affairs team for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during the historic 2005 hurricane season. At the state level, she served as a speechwriter for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in early 2005, having previously served as director of communications at the Florida Department of Education from 2003-2004. She began her career as a spokeswoman at the Florida Department of Corrections in 1999.
 
Ms. Bravo earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2003. While in law school, she was a member of CUA’s Comparative and International Law Institute and active in the Moot Court Association. In 2001, she earned a certificate in International Business & Trade Law at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Ms. Bravo earned her B.A. in social science, with a concentration in political science and economics, from the Florida State University in 1999. A native of Miami and daughter of Cuban-born parents, she is fluent in Spanish.
