Richard S. Odom Partner

Richard S. Odom is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Odom has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in complex litigation in a broad range of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, biotech, transportation, healthcare, and real estate. He has successfully defended clients against claims of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair business practices, securities law violations, RICO violations, and product liability.

Mr. Odom's practice focuses on the trial of high-risk cases with complex fact patterns. He has tried more than 25 cases to juries and courts in state and federal courts in California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New York. The high-stakes cases Mr. Odom has tried include obtaining defense verdicts for national banks in three lender liability cases with significant punitive damage claims; the three-month trial of more than 180 consolidated asbestos-related personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits; the successful defense of an investment bank in a two-month trial of claims based on failed IPO and private placement engagements; and the successful defense of an aircraft outfitter with respect to claims arising out of contracts with an agency of a foreign government.
