Gregory P. Abrams is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Abrams represents management in a broad range of labor and employment law matters. He has successfully represented employers in individual and class-wide claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Mr. Abrams has also represented clients in cases involving covenants not to compete, violation of fiduciary duties, unfair competition, wrongful discharge, intentional infliction of emotional distress, unjust enrichment, and various claims under the National Labor Relations Act.

Mr. Abrams has represented clients in multiple jurisdictions throughout the country, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and other state and local fair employment agencies. In addition to his employment litigation experience, Mr. Abrams has also represented clients in various commercial litigation matters, including claims of fraud, breach of contract, intentional interference with contract, and defamation.

Mr. Abrams has counseled employers on various employment issues, including wage and hour law compliance, noncompetition agreements, employee discipline, pre-employment testing, drug and alcohol testing, and employee discipline and termination. He has drafted separation agreements and releases, employee handbooks, and other employment policies. He has also counseled clients in the service industry on matters involving alleged racial profiling and discriminatory treatment.

Mr. Abrams earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2003. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in economics and political science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000.

Mr. Abrams is admitted to practice in Illinois.
