Christopher A. Weals is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice, specializing in employee benefits litigation. Mr. Weals has focused his practice on complex employment and benefits litigation for 20 years. He has represented employers in numerous class-action and multi-plaintiff suits involving allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, denial of benefits, discrimination and wage and hour law violations. He has also defended companies facing EEOC pattern and practice suits.

In 2006, Mr. Weals successfully defended US Airways in the first post-Enron "stock drop" case to go to trial. DiFelice v. US Airways, Inc., 436 F. Supp. 2d 756 (E.D. Va 2006). The US Airways case was named to the National Law Journal's "Defense Hot List" for 2006.

Mr. Weals has published various articles on employment related issues, including several articles on employee privacy, and has spoken to variety of organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management, the American Bar Association and the Washington Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Association.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Weals was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of a prominent nationwide firm. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Denison University.

Mr. Weals is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
