Jacqueline R. Berman is an associate in Morgan Lewis's FDA Practice. Ms. Berman's practice focuses on FDA and healthcare regulatory, compliance, and enforcement issues. In this capacity, she assists in the representation of pharmaceutical, device, biologic, dietary supplement, and food/food additive manufacturers on matters involving product recalls, marketing applications, labeling, marketing and advertising, clinical investigations, privacy, and post-marketing obligations including adverse event reporting and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices. She has also assisted clients with initiating clinical trial programs. To these ends, Ms. Berman counsels clients on FDA clinical trial requirements, contracting, ethics and informed consent, data transfer from international trial sites, data security, HIPAA privacy, confidentiality, and the U.S.-European Union and U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor programs.
Ms. Berman also counsels clients regarding safety, labeling, and reporting requirements for consumer products under the laws enforced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and related state enforcement agencies.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Berman was an associate in an FDA boutique law firm. Before her legal career, Ms. Berman worked at a nonprofit organization where she advocated on behalf of people living with HIV and AIDS.
Ms. Berman earned her J.D., with highest honors, from the George Washington University Law School in 2009, where she was named to the Order of the Coif. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in law and society and psychology from American University in 2006.
Ms. Berman is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
