Mark P. Edwards is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Antitrust Practice.  His practice focuses on antitrust litigation, particularly cases involving claims of price-fixing, monopolization, group boycotts, price discrimination and violations of state competition law.  He also counsels corporate clients on a broad range of antitrust issues, including distribution and pricing practices, dealer terminations and the licensing of intellectual property.  He represents clients from a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, education, health care, telecommunications and real estate.  Mr. Edwards represents plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court litigation.

  • ASC v. Megadiamond – Successfully defended a Sandvik joint venture against claims of price discrimination that were brought by a former distributor of industrial diamonds.

  • Bolick Distributors Corp. v. Armstrong Holdings, Inc. – Successfully defended Armstrong and certain of its affiliates in an antitrust action brought by a terminated distributor.  The distributor alleged monopolization of the hardwood flooring market and price discrimination.

  • Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, Inc. v. American Bar Ass’n, Law School Admission Council, Inc. – Obtained summary judgment for Law School Admission Council, Inc. in an action brought by a law school alleging antitrust violations in the American Bar Association’s accreditation process.

  • Mitel Corp. v. A&A Connections, Inc. – Successfully prosecuted claims for copyright infringement against a gray market dealer, and successfully defended the dealer’s antitrust counterclaim.

  • National Medical, Inc. v. SCA Hygiene Products – Obtained a summary judgment for SCA on all claims brought by a terminated dealer, and obtained a judgment in SCA’s favor on its counterclaims for unpaid invoices and for the dealer’s fraudulent rebate scheme.

  • Peach v. Charming Shoppes, Inc. – Obtained dismissal of a putative nationwide class action brought in Madison County, Illinois alleging consumer fraud claims against a clothing retailer arising from the operation of its gift card program.

  • Perkasie Industries Corp. v. Advance Transformer Co. – Obtained judgment as a matter of law for Advance Transformer after a two-week jury trial on price discrimination claims brought by a terminated dealer.  Obtained summary judgment for Advance on its counterclaim for unpaid invoices.

Mr. Edwards is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
