Paul C. McCoy Partner

Paul C. McCoy is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. McCoy focuses his practice on the formation of private investment funds of various types and structures, including venture capital funds, private equity funds, funds of funds, double bottom line funds, and hybrid funds. He also represents funds of funds, employee benefit plans, and other institutional investors in connection with their investments in private investment funds. In addition, Mr. McCoy has represented sellers and purchasers in venture capital financings and public offerings of equity securities.

Mr. McCoy began his legal career practicing securities law in London for a large British law firm with global presence. He then spent a number of years practicing law at a prominent San Francisco-based law firm. Prior to law school, Mr. McCoy worked as a financial analyst for three years at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He is a contributing author to the two-volume treatise, Venture Capital & Public Offering Negotiation.

Mr. McCoy is admitted to practice in California and New York.
