Rachelle M. Barstow is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Barstow focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation in a broad range of substantive areas at both the trial and appellate level. Ms. Barstow's clients include financial institutions, insurers, and numerous companies in the chemical and transportation sectors. She routinely represents clients in disputes arising out of mergers and acquisitions and has experience handling disagreements concerning purchase price adjustments, as well as fraud and indemnification claims. Ms. Barstow also has a background in construction and energy-related disputes involving power plants, paper deinking facilities, ethanol production plants, and other infrastructure and materials processing facilities.

Ms. Barstow's practice also encompasses transportation industry disputes with a focus on maritime matters, including shipbuilding and sale agreements, charter parties, and offshore drilling contracts. She recently first-chaired a lengthy arbitration before the Society of Maritime Arbitrators involving a shipbuilding dispute between a Japanese trading company affiliate and a major U.S. defense contractor.

Ms. Barstow has represented clients in numerous international arbitration proceedings in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, including proceedings before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association and the International Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Barstow received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1996 and her B.A., cum laude, from Yale University in 1992.

Ms. Barstow is admitted to practice in New York.
