Michael J. Melone is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Melone focuses his practice on motion picture financing and licensing with a wide range of film producers and distributors. His experience includes working on major studio film licensing output agreements, such as the representation of a major European pay television service in connection with the renegotiation of its licenses for Internet, pay-per-view, pay television, and view-on-demand platforms.

Mr. Melone also has a broad array of experience in financing and restructuring transactions, including loan restructurings, the preservation of debtors' as well as creditors' rights and negotiations with lenders, distressed companies, and collective bargaining representatives.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Melone was an associate in the entertainment and media practice at a large law firm in New York.

Mr. Melone received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2002 and his B.A. in psychology from Middlebury College in 1999.

Mr. Melone is admitted to practice in New York.
