Monica M. Kim is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Kim's practice focuses on obtaining temporary employment authorization and U.S. permanent residency for foreign nationals. She also advises clients on immigrant and nonimmigrant matters related to intracompany transferees, professionals, and individuals of extraordinary ability.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Kim worked for a San Francisco-based immigration law firm where she handled all aspects of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for clients ranging from Fortune 500 and leading biotech companies to emerging retail businesses and individuals.
Ms. Kim earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2003. After law school, she clerked for the Immigration Court in Oakdale, Louisiana as part of the U.S. Attorney General's Honor Program; and prior to attending law school, Ms. Kim served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Morocco. She earned her M.A. in political science from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1997 and her B.A., with distinction, in French, international relations, and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996. She is fluent in French.
