William J. Delany is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice and also serves as the firm's diversity partner. Mr. Delany focuses on the representation of employers in a variety of labor and employment-related matters in state and federal courts, and before numerous state and federal agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board, and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. He also handles labor arbitrations.
Mr. Delany has represented clients in matters involving the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, all types of claims under the various employment discrimination statutes, more traditional labor disputes involving the labor-management relationship, and disputes involving individual employee rights. Mr. Delany also counsels employers regarding executive misconduct and fraud investigations.
In addition to litigation matters, Mr. Delany counsels employers in day-to-day labor and employment labor matters, agreements and all forms of employee manuals and policies.
In 2007, Mr. Delany was named an "up and coming" lawyer for employment law by Chambers USA, based on the views of clients, peers, and other industry professionals. Chambers noted that Mr. Delany "wins accolades from clients as tremendously proactive at working to improve employee relations."
