Christopher M. Pardo is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Pardo focuses his practice on the defense of complex employment cases in federal, state, and Puerto Rico courts. He represents a broad range of clients in employment and discrimination matters, which include class and collective actions; lawsuits involving race, sex, age, and pregnancy discrimination; Fair Labor Standards Act claims; wrongful termination claims; and state law tort and contract claims. Mr. Pardo also assists employers in responding to administrative complaints brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations, and defending them in subsequent actions.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Pardo served as a judicial intern to Judge Angel A. Cortiñas of the Third District Court of Appeal of Florida. He also served as a certified legal intern to the Office of the Public Defender for Miami-Dade County, where he defended indigent clients in felony criminal cases, and was employed as a law clerk at a prominent Coral Gables litigation firm.

Mr. Pardo earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2007, where he graduated as valedictorian. While in law school, he was a senior articles editor for the St. Thomas University Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. Mr. Pardo also was awarded the Broward Hispanic Lawyers Association Scholarship for academic achievement and won the West Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. In addition, he won the Best Oralist Award and was named a finalist in the St. Thomas Moot Court Competition. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Pardo worked as a congressional aide to Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart. Mr. Pardo earned his B.A., cum laude, in English with a minor in history from Boston College in 2004, where he graduated with special honors for his thesis work.

Formerly involved in the Guardian Ad Litem Program, Mr. Pardo is presently involved in the National Veterans Legal Services Program, which assists veterans in obtaining their service-connected benefits. He also is involved as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Pardo is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
