Rima Maîtrehenry

Rima Maîtrehenry is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Maîtrehenry focuses her practice on private equity and investment funds, with an emphasis on regulatory and compliance issues. She also handles matters dealing with venture capital and leverage buyout transactions, as well as general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Maîtrehenry was an associate at a business law firm, where she was involved in cross-border fund structuring and regulatory matters. Before that, Ms. Maîtrehenry was an in-house lawyer and compliance officer for more than six years in a private equity investment fund, where she was involved in the fundraising and negotiation of terms with international institutional investors, as well as investor relations, anti-money-laundering issues, and follow-up of unlisted portfolios. She also dealt with the enactment and implementation of compliance policies.

Ms. Maîtrehenry earned her Doctorat in international law from the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2004; her Mastère in international law and management from the H.E.C. – Business School in 2000; her LL.M. in international law and international organizations from the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in 1997; and her Maîtrise in private and public law from the Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth, Lebanon in 1996. Ms. Maîtrehenry is fluent in French, English, and Arabic.
