Christie Del Rey-Cone is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Del Rey-Cone represents employers in employment litigation matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, constructive discharge, and wage and hour claims. She also handles ERISA litigation matters involving claims of breach of fiduciary duties, the denial or termination of benefits, and the interpretation of plans. Her litigation matters include single plaintiff, multiple plaintiff, class action, and collective action matters in federal and state court. Ms. Del Rey-Cone also provides clients with day-to-day advice on a wide range of employment law issues and has supervised internal investigations in employee misconduct.
Ms. Del Rey-Cone was the only "up-and-comer" named by Chambers for New York Labor and Employment. According to Chambers, clients describe Ms. Del Rey-Cone as having "the enthusiasm of a young lawyer allied to the maturity of a seasoned hand."
Ms. Del Rey-Cone received her J.D. from Seton Hall University Law School in 2002, where she graduated in the top 15% of her class and was the notes and comments editor for the Constitutional Law Journal. Prior to practicing law, she served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlene R. Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Ms. Del Rey-Cone received her B.A. in sociology and American studies from Franklin & Marshall College in 1999.
