Courtney L. Landis is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Since joining Morgan Lewis in 2005, Ms. Landis has spent much of her time representing corporations in civil and criminal antitrust litigation and the defense of individuals and companies in all phases of government investigation and prosecution.
Recent representations include:
- Representation of a leading global carrier in its global internal investigation, civil litigation, and related criminal prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division.
- Representation of an Asian technology company in its civil litigation and internal investigation related to a U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division price-fixing investigation of the TFT-LCD industry.
- Representation of a Fortune 100 Silicon Valley technology in connection with a significant internal investigation and civil and criminal investigations by the California Attorney General and the U.S. Attorneys' Office in San Jose.
- Representation of a Fortune 200 company in its internal investigation of certain stock option practices in connection with SEC and U.S. Attorney’s Office inquiries and an internal investigation of allegations related to corporate tax payments in connection with investigations by the IRS and U.S. Attorney’s Office.
- Representation of a major financial services institution in connection with NASD inquiries of alleged shelf space and directed brokerage programs.
- Representation of a leading New York investment bank in connection with a public corruption investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Cleveland.
- Representation of a senior Chinese executive of a U.S.-based company in connection with a financial fraud investigation conducted by the SEC.
Ms. Landis earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2005, where she received the CALI Award for Excellence in legal research and writing. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in communications from the University of California, San Diego in 2001.
