Michael E. Lignowski is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Lignowski represents corporate clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination and wrongful discharge litigation, National Labor Relations Act litigation, and wage and hour compliance. He also provides counseling on general personnel issues.
Mr. Lignowski devotes a substantial part of his practice to the representation of employers in traditional labor law matters, including union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice litigation before the National Labor Relations Board, labor arbitrations, and contract negotiations. Mr. Lignowski also counsels employers on the development and implementation of positive employee relations policies and practices.
Mr. Lignowski is a frequent speaker on labor and employment topics, including union avoidance, sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Mr. Lignowski earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1995, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He earned his B.A. in government from the University of Virginia in 1992.
Mr. Lignowski is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the Western District of Wisconsin.
