Herman J. Hoying is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. The lawyers in our Litigation Practice provide services in a wide range of areas including business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations and criminal defense, environmental, international arbitration, patent and trademark, securities, toxic tort, and product liability.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Hoying was an associate at an international law firm, where he focused on complex commercial disputes. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Mr. Hoying earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2003, where he was named to the Order of the Coif and was a recipient of the Bezanson Award for Most Outstanding Contribution to Diversity in the Law School Community. While in law school, Mr. Hoying was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse, where he assisted in the representation of Virginia capital defendants. He earned his B.A. from Northwestern University in 2000.

Mr. Hoying is admitted to practice in California, New York, and Georgia.
